Aloo Chaat with Chaat Masala

Ingredients

  • Boiled potatoes – 3 medium (peeled & diced)

  • Oil or ghee – 2 tbsp (for shallow frying)

  • Chaat Masala – 1 tsp (Sarv Shresht Chaat Masala ho to swaad dugna!)

  • Roasted cumin powder – ½ tsp

  • Red chilli powder – ½ tsp

  • Black salt – ½ tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp

  • Finely chopped onion – 2 tbsp (optional)

  • Tamarind chutney – 1 tbsp

  • Green chutney – 1 tbsp (optional)

  • Chopped coriander leaves – 1 tbsp

  • Sev or pomegranate – for garnish

Instructions

1. Boil potatoes, peel and cut into bite-sized cubes.

2. Shallow fry them in oil/ghee till they turn golden & crisp.

3. Transfer to a mixing bowl and add:
       Chaat masala
       Roasted cumin powder
       Red chilli powder
       Black salt & regular salt

4. Mix well to coat the potatoes with all masalas.

5. Add lemon juice and toss again.

6. Drizzle imli chutney and green chutney for tangy flavor.

7. Add chopped onions and coriander.

8. Garnish with sev or pomegranate pearls.

9. Serve hot & chatpati
